Pinocchio, Snow White, and Superman are out for a stroll in town one day.
As they walked, they come across a sign
Beauty contest for the most beautiful woman in the world.

I am entering! said Snow White.

After half an hour she comes out and they ask her, Well, how'd ya do

First Place!, said Snow White.

They continue walking and they see a sign
Contest for the strongest man in the world.

I'm entering, says Superman.

After half an hour, he returns and they ask him, How did you
make out

First Place, answers Superman. Did you ever doubt

They continue walking when they see a sign
Contest! Who is the greatest liar in the world

Pinocchio enters.

After half an hour he returns with tears in his eyes.

What happened they asked.

Who the hell is Thaksin asked Pinocchio.

ถ้าเราอ่านเพื่อมุ่งจับใจความ ก็จะเป็นการอ่านเพื่อทำความเข้าใจเนื้อเรื่อง
แล้วถ้าเป็นการอ่านเพื่อเขียนหละ เราจะอ่านยังไง?

เวลาอ่าน เราต้องสมมุติตัวเองเป็นนักสืบ !!
คอยจับผิด สังเกตุ
ว่าผู้เขียนมีการใช้ ไวยกรณ์ หรือ Grammar, collocation อย่างไรบ้าง

หลังจากนั้นก็จดจำ ไว้ใช้ตอนเขียนครับ ^___^

ตัวอย่างเช่น
เมื่อเราอ่าน Pinocchio, Snow White, and Superman are out for a stroll in town one day.
เราก็ได้ความรู้เอาไว้ใช้ว่า
out for a stroll = ออกไปเดินเล่น
(อาจจะเอาไปผูกกับคำว่า stroller ที่แปลว่า รถเข็นเด็ก เพื่อจำง่ายขึ้น)

เวลาเขียน in town ไม่มี article
ธรรมดา noun ที่เป็น singular countable ต้องมี article เสมอ
แต่ in town เป็นข้อยกเว้น (เปิดหนังสือเพิ่มเติมกันดูนะครับ)

ใช้ present tense เวลาเล่าเรื่อง (อาจจะมองว่าให้เรื่องดูน่าตื่นเต้น)
แต่พอประโยคถัดมา
As they walked, they come across a sign
Beauty contest for the most beautiful woman in the world.
มีการผัน tense ใช้ past simple กับ present simple ร่วมกัน

พอมาถึง
I am entering! said Snow White.
ก็มีการใช้ Direct speech
บวกกับ inversion
แถม Tense ให้จดจำ
(ว่าไม่ใช้ say Snow White แต่ใช้ said )
รูปแบบการเขียน เอา I am entering!
มาขึ้นประโยค ก็คงอารมณ์เดียวกับ ตอนเราเล่าเรื่อง (ภาษาไทย)
(ทำเสียงหนักแน่น) ฉันจะเข้าไปทดสอบ สโนว์ไวท์กล่าว
กับ
แล้วสโนว์ไวท์ก็พูดว่า ฉันจะเข้าไป
แบบแรกฟังดูน่าตื่นเต้นกว่า (เล็กน้อย)

พอมาถึง First Place!, said Snow White.
เราก็จะสังเกตุการใช้ Punctuation ว่าใช้ ! ก่อน ,
ถ้าเป็นการเขียนที่ทางการมากกว่านี้
ซึ่งจะมี quote อยู่ด้วย
quote จะวางอยู่ก่อน หรือ หลัง comma
แถม คำว่า First Place ไว้ตอบ เวลาคนถามว่าสอบได้ที่เท่าไหร่ด้วย
(จะได้ใช้มั้ยชาตินี้ )

ขอจบตัวอย่าง แต่เพียงเท่านี้
ทิ้งให้ (ผู้ที่ยังไม่รู้,มือใหม่) ทุกท่าน เอาไปเป็นแนวทาง
ประยุกต์ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน นะครับ
