Subjunctive อธิบายกว้างๆได้ว่า
เป็น grammar (กรรมมาก) ที่ใช้กับประโยคที่เป็นทางการ
ซึ่งมีรูปแบบคือ จะไม่เติม s (base form) กับประธานเอกพจน์หรือสรรพนามบุรุษที่ 3
